Saunders Manufacturing has persevered for over 65 years on good old Yankee ingenuity, lots of hard work and a product line steeped in tradition. However, as the great Yogi Berra once said, "You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going because you might not get there". Well, we are there.
As a privately-held company based in Readfield, Maine, we continue our pledge to make most of our products in the USA. We have been manufacturing aluminum storage clipboards, binders and other office supplies right here in Maine. We began moving plastic clipboards to US manufacturing in 2008. Reshoring our plastic manufacturing increases our offering of "Made in the USA" value-priced, high-quality products. This allows for shorter supply chain that reduces lead times and offers pricing stability to our customers. We are also committed to producing these products using recycled materials.
I would also like to take this opportunity to share exciting new developments under the rhino·skin® brand. Rhino·skin® has new protective device cases for iPads and iPhones, including hardcases made of aluminum, a folio in genuine leather, colorful BaseCases in man-made materials and Bluetooth® keyboards are among the current offerings.
As the exclusive distributor for UHU® adhesives, we are dedicated to build the brand and grow the business for this top-quality product. Saunders continues to expand the line of adhesives ranging from glue sticks to removable adhesive putty. These products are unique to the market as is the UHU delivery systems.
I am pleased that we are able to continue to implement these important changes that will provide consumers with the products they desire, from aluminum clipboards and specialty form holders, to plastic storage clipboards, along with RhinoSkin and UHU adhesives. We will continually look for ways to deliver the quality and dependability that our customers expect from us while simultaneously meeting our sustainability goals.
